The Amplify Reading Program at Aaron Parker Elementary is a dynamic, research-based curriculum designed to enhance reading skills for all students. Through interactive, engaging lessons, the program adapts to each child’s individual reading level, helping them build essential skills in phonics, comprehension, and vocabulary. With Amplify, students gain confidence as readers and develop a deeper love for reading. Our goal is to ensure that every Parker Panther is not only reading at grade level but also thriving with the joy of discovery that reading brings.
The Eureka Math Program at Aaron Parker Elementary offers students in grades K-3 a strong foundation in mathematics through a hands-on, concept-based approach. Designed to deepen understanding and promote problem-solving, Eureka Math helps students connect math to real-world situations, fostering both critical thinking and confidence. Each lesson builds on the previous one, allowing students to develop a solid grasp of key concepts and skills. At Aaron Parker, our goal is to inspire a love for math and ensure each student is well-prepared for continued success in mathematics.
The STEMScopes Math Program at Aaron Parker Elementary brings an exciting, interactive approach to learning math. By integrating science, technology, engineering, and math, STEMScopes engages students with real-world applications that make math meaningful and fun. Through hands-on activities, digital resources, and problem-solving tasks, students are encouraged to explore and connect mathematical concepts to everyday life. Our goal with STEMScopes Math is to build confidence, foster curiosity, and empower every student to excel in math and beyond.
Our Gifted and Talented program begins testing as early as kindergarten, identifying and nurturing exceptional abilities from the onset. Once identified, GT students attend specialized classes one morning every week, where they engage in enriched learning experiences tailored to their unique talents and interests.
Our Response to Intervention (RTI) Tier 3 program at North Lamar Intermediate provides targeted support for students needing additional assistance in reading or math. Through daily 45-minute pull-out sessions in a small group setting, students receive personalized instruction tailored to their individual learning needs. This focused environment allows for intensive, skill-building activities designed to boost confidence and close learning gaps. Our Tier 3 RTI program reflects our commitment to ensuring that every student has the support they need to succeed academically!
NLISD is dedicated to providing exceptional support to every child. Our Special Education services start as early as age 3, ensuring that young learners have access to the resources they need from the very beginning. Our full-time, certified therapists work closely with each child, offering individualized support that meets them right where they are. Through personalized programs and compassionate guidance, we help our students build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
