Parker celebrates World Kindness Day

Paris, Texas, October 29, 2020 – What? Friday the 13th World Kindness Day?

Every Friday the 13th around the world, a day has been set aside to promote kindness throughout the world.  Formed in 1998, World Kindness Day is observed in many countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, Italy and India.  It is one day devoted to bring people together by doing both large and small acts of kindness.

Many of the students and teachers at Aaron Parker Elementary celebrated by wearing T-shirts with the inscription “Color the World with Kindness.”  Kaye Cooper’s class, left, parades the halls giving staff a sweet treat and thanking them for all they do.  Counselor Tiffany Page, right, reads the book Same, Same but Different by Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw.  Through an inviting point-of-view and colorful, vivid illustrations, the story shows how two boys living oceans apart can be the best of friends.
